Early Years and the Beginning of His Career

John Arne Semundseth Riise was born on September 24, 1980, in Ålesund, Norway. From an early age, he showed great talent for football, and he began his career at the local club Aalesunds FK. His impressive performances caught the attention of scouts, and at the age of 17, he signed his first professional contract with the French club AS Monaco in 1998.

Breakthrough at AS Monaco
